The pedagogic objectives at Ashmont School are focused in:
-Making happy children and teenagers.
-To give the students the ability to take immediate decisions.
-Create in the student the need of having a constant education.
-Mistakes do not exist; mistakes are a chance to grow.
-The student needs to be a child when school ends. Home is for the family.
-We educate for the future. Our students need to know how to perform in jobs that don't even exist yet.
-The information is available, what really matters is how we use it.
-We develop abilities and capabilities. Cognitive memory is a tool.
Our model is based in the studies developed by Phd. Isauro Blanco Pedraza, President and Founder of the American Society of Communications. The main axis is neuropsychology applied to education and Accelerated Learning.
Neuropsychology: Is a specialty that studies the correlation of the process that happens between the human behavior and the brain. Its basis comes from cognitive science such as psychology, linguistics and artificial intelligence, supported by neurobiology, neurophysiology and neurochemistry. Its objective is to understand the chemical process between neurons and brain structures, which affect cognitive results, behavior and emotions of the person.
The students must have a perfect scenario, place, ambiance and disposition to learn. A happy child is a learner.
The basic elements for learning are:
-Diet: A healthy diet will make the difference. The students need to be high on protein and low in sugar and carbs.
-Sleeping and Resting: Someone younger than 14 years old must sleep at least from 8 to 10 hrs. daily. Resting and sleeping, help the physical and mental growth. Sleep better, learn better.
-Brain saturation: There is a misconception that the child must be occupied. This is a mistake, tired children don't learn.
Is the technique that allows the human being to use both hemispheres of the brain at the same time to increase memory and knowledge.
If we know our students, then we will be able to direct their knowledge on the right track. There are 4 levels, visual, listening, kinesthetic and cooperative. If we use them all simultaneously, then we can achieve a greater level of understanding.
Our objective is to involve the student in his auto evaluation, comparing results with his teachers and partners to make possible the 100% of understanding.
